My name is Carol MacRill and these are my projects using the May kit. I had a lot of fun making these. I hope you enjoy them.
I used various patterned papers from Webster's Pages Seaside Retreat collection. I added a lace border, made using a Fiskar's border punch. I then layered a piece of fish net, Bazzil paper flowers in turquoise mist and daisy, a seashell and some sand. I adhered the shells with hot glue and the sand with glossy accents. I used some letter stickers from my stash to spell "beach". I attached each of the banner pieces together by sewing them to some tan bias tape that I purchased from Wal-Mart. I tied little pieces of the palm tree ribbon in between the pieces to finish it off.Beach Banner
I used the die cut paper from Webster's Pages Seaside Retreat collection and layered it on a piece of turquoise card stock. I drew around the edges with a black sharpie to enhance the die cut. I layered my photo on a piece of tan cardstock, sewed around the edges and added it to my page. I then added some Bazzil paper flowers in turquoise mist and daisy. I topped it off with a seashell for the flower centers.Sunset Scrapbook Page
Mini Scrapbook
Using all my leftover papers from Webster's Pages Seaside Retreat collection, I made this mini scrapbook. Here you can see the front cover and a couple of the pages inside. On the front cover I added some bling from Zva Creative. I also used some letter stickers from my stash for the title. I inked all the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink in Brushed Corduroy. I outlined some of the pages with a black sharpie to add a little interest. Added a couple of envelopes (regular card size from Hobby Lobby) and glimmer misted them with Patina glimmer mist. On one of the envelopes flap I added a Bazzil paper flower and a button from my stash for a closure. The envelopes are great for holding little keepsakes inside that you don't want to glue down to a page. I added a few wallet size photos and sewed around some of my pages. I punched the holes using the crop-o-dile tool and added two binder rings to hold it all together.
love the mini.
and the banners - they're so popular.
