Joy tag
I inked the tag with TH Brick Red distress ink then stamped it with a swirl image. I embossed the swirl using a gold embossing powder. I sanded the letters and inked them in in gold and red (once these are sanded the letters are porous). I then attached the letters to paper cut to size and attached to tag. I used gold ribbon along the bottom (from my stash) and then the cream ribbon from the kit. I then attached the white flower. The free image for the tag can be found here http://vintageholidaycrafts.com/. I cut it out and trimmed it out in gold Stickles then glue it into place. The ribbon at the top is from my own stash.
Snowflake ornament
I used a snowflake ornament that I already had. I mixed the pink flakey glitter that we got in the kit with some other glitters (hot pink, irredesent, pink and white) I put them all together in a shaker to mix them up. I then sprayed the snowflake with spray adhesive then liberally put on the glitter mixture (after it is on take your fingers and pat it down). I used the Merry Christmas paper and cut it into a 1 1/2 strip and then scored the paper every 1/4 inch, then pleated (accordian). Then make a circle and glue ends together. You may want to use a hot glue gun because it will set much quicker. I then finished the circle with a piece of silver pipe cleaner, again I used the hot glue gun to attach it. A piece of pink velvet ribbon was placed around the center and the whole thing was attached with hot glue.
Wire was threaded through the hole of the snowflake and beads (from my stash) were added.
I found some really cute free vintage images here http://vintageholidaycrafts.com/
I cut out the little girl and used Stickles in Cotton Candy and Pink. I then used a paper rose and placed it in her hand. I finished it off by using some feathers and beads from my personal stash.
Believe ornament
For this ornament I used a piece of a small maya Road chipboard book and painted it with MM paint (paper bag) then painted over that with TH crackle paint (picket fence). I then trimmed the chipboard with gold Stickles. I used some wire and beads (from a broken necklace) for the hanger. The image of Santa and the little girl are from the internet (you can use the attached image to copy and paste then shrink it to fit the stamp). I attached the Prima ornament by poking a hole thru the bottom and threading it through and then tied a knot. I finished it with a gingham bow (from my stash) and the rhinestones that came with the stamp
Kisses Tray
I did use some of my own stash...greenery, tulle, old jewelry, beads and lace.
I first removed the old paper image from the tray with Undo. I then repainted the tray with MM paint in Paper Bag. Over that I used Tim Holtz crackle paint in Antique Linen. After it dried I used some gold Perfect Pearls and just rubbed it on with a cotton ball.
I cut the paper to the size needed then inked the edges with TH Brick Red distress ink.
I made the flowers out of circles that were just free handed and used tulle inbetween each layer. For the glitter on the flowers I used gold Stickles. I will suggest that when you do the tulle circles that you do them on wax paper so they can be removed easily and DO wait for them to completely dry otherwise the glitter just stays on the wax paper. (You could also use a TH craft sheet, love that thing! Nothing...and I mean nothing sticks to it!) The flowers are ready to be put together once the stickles dry, largest to smallest with tulle between each layer.
I changed the color of the pearl from green to red using TH alcohol ink.
I tied the ribbons and tulle to the handle of the tray and glued on the flowers.
I love to find ugly things like this tray and give them new life. I bought a bunch of these trays a few years ago for 99 cents each!
Here's a picture of the tray before I decorated it
Quite a difference, wouldn't you say?! From trash to treasure. It's always fun!!
TOTALLY LOVE Your ornaments!
